Kate Nicholls, Chair of UKHospitality, used Arena Networking's Savoy Lecture (200+ senior leaders from hospitality, catering and foodservice supply chain) to warn that current Government policy is "hollowing out" the UK's most socially productive sector — with the industry effectively being "taxed out of existence." For B&I caterers, contract FM providers and the foodservice supply chain, the warning lands at the cost-base level: National Insurance, business rates, minimum wage uplifts and waste-reform compliance are stacking faster than client budgets are moving.
