OSHA compliance won't shield you: the general duty clause raises the bar
Ticking the box on specific OSHA standards is no defence against liability. Under the general duty clause, facilities can be cited and sued whenever a worker is hurt by a recognised hazard, even where no explicit rule applies. The takeaway for FM leaders is to manage risk proactively rather than purely to the letter of the code.
