A US federal judge has ruled the Kennedy Center board approved a full renovation closure on an ill-informed, one-sided case built largely on its facilities chief's testimony. It is a cautionary tale for FM leaders: even a sound technical argument for vacant-building works needs to be weighed against programming, fundraising and governance before a board can defensibly sign off.
