Corporate clean energy hits 27 GW record in 2025 — Q1 2026 already at 17 GW, says CEBA's Powell
Corporate Energy Buyers Association CEO Rich Powell told ESG Dive that despite federal incentive rollbacks, US corporate clean-energy procurement hit a record 27 GW in 2025 and that 17 GW had already been procured in Q1 2026 alone (S&P Global estimate). About 75% of last year's 27 GW came from just four hyperscalers — Amazon, Alphabet, Meta and Microsoft — with Meta alone announcing 6.7 GW of contracted nuclear capacity in January. Texas accounts for ~40% of all corporate clean energy procured.
